The simultaneous impact of a symbol on different levels of awareness, has always secured my attention in visual art, literature, or life in general. A via regia of sorts, as Freud would put it, the symbol allows entry to those subdued if not forgotten forces that pull our strings.
The purpose of my art is to reconnect, discover, and/or realize the schisms in us all, so that we may change the course a little to the right, and see what happens.....
The following images are of sculptures, made with low carbon steel. The final finishes will be applied whenever I can bring myself to stop working on ideas. Due to an abundance of ideas, there are no duplicates. I have included brief comments or interpretations for each sculpture to demystify my intentions and clarify the meaning of each piece.
