The placement of a sculpture, or any piece of art, will transform the “feel” of a space and create presence
that has an effect on the responsive observer. A sense, a thought, a doubt, a question -brought forth by the contemplation of truth and beauty expressed in a piece of art- can penetrate the slumbering thickets that lay submerged, and emanate clarity with a call for action, or simply bring the joy of recognition. I have always wondered
about how others experience art in their spaces, and maybe you have,
too.
Following are some of my customers who were willing to express their thoughts and sensations on their acquired pieces. Some have included images, with or without themselves, of the artwork in their spaces.
As a professional musician I often play in very upscale estates and one of the things I always notice are the works of art and sculpture displayed in the house and especially on the grounds. When Jael presented me with these two pieces. I felt that I could also experience the joy of sharing the creative process with the artist who produced these pieces by encouraging the artist to continue her work, knowing that It would eventually find its way to someone like me who finds pleasure in owning and sharing with my friends these works of art. | ![]() |
![]() | This double decked beauty of a candle holder is quite reminiscent of castle spires; with mom's homemade beeswax candles as rooms, or extensions. The yellow light softeners make the room suspended in a hazy, yet clear yellow light. The candle holder is very useful, since we live off the grid, so when our battery bank drains, the candles go on. Shhhh, don't tell my mom, but I play with the wax. This will account for the wax droplets on the table. Noa |
As I walk by the door, the sculpture fills my eyes with bright colors and two loving creatures. The bright highlights bring the "Lovefish" to life, and in a playful way. At times it is required for me to go and feel its grainy texture and smooth eyes. Thank you, Jael, for my enlightening sculpture and all your love. Noa |
![]() | When my mom showed me the base for a candle holder, I thought it would look good as my tea table.... and so it was. I convinced her to make it a little sister, with less grandeur, but cute. Both of them are beautiful places to set dishes of food upon, or if you have a small plate of hors d'oeuvres or petit fours, you can place the small table on the larger table, and the goodies on top. I also just enjoy their beauty. Noa |
The Purpose of Purposeless Play This playful beauty seems to be swimming in playful happiness. She seems to enjoy playing with the light of candles, and she helps me see myself in a happy light. I feel delighted to be able to stare upon this beautiful enlightened, candle holding creature. Noa | ![]() |
![]() | The Light Bringer I was presented with "The Light Bringer" during a spurt of Gama Go addiction (an original graphic design company). She has brought me happiness and 1000-2000 laughs. She always seems to bring her banana like smile to your face, and it can stay there for at least a day. "The Light Bringer" is a lamp with currently no light behind her, but sometime she'll be able to light up the day. She relaxes me and shows me that being happy and relaxed is very much her aim. Noa |
This balancing creature of bravery shows that its fears are none; it responds to negativity with a gallant smile. I think I would like to be able to do as the happy creature does. Noa |
